Filsaime's entire career can be defined as targeted employment that led to the creation of his vision of an ideal quick service restaurant. Throughout his career he has been recognized as an inspirational leader as evidenced by his appointment to the National Small Business Association Leadership Council.
Waquim Filsaime founded and is Chairman of Perseverance Endeavors, Inc. This organization was set up to launch the Filsaime Flavors chain of Herbivore quick restaurants. Filsaime most previous role was at Denny's as a District Manager overseeing 6 stores in Utah and Idaho. Prior to that position he worked with Taco Bell as an ARLIT. During his time there he provided management, leadership, coordination, and support to Restaurant General Managers within market area.
Prior to Taco Bell, Filsaime was the District Trainer for Kneaders Bakery & Café. Filsaime developed a world class training infrastructure across the state of Colorado for new hires and management programs. Filsaime evolved a 9-store management team within the district to deliver exceptional guest service in all stores. While with Kneaders, he planned, identified, communicated, and delegated key responsibilities and practices to each store management team to ensure smooth flow of operations within the district. Filsaime monitored and managed district-wide management staffing levels, he also ensured management-level employee development and talent acquisition to achieve and maintain district operational requirements.
Filsaime’s first leadership role in Colorado was as the Franchisee Training Manager for Wing Stop. This is where Filsaime honed is vision for leadership. He maintained a 98% TOP GUN corporate audit evaluation revolving around brand standards & food safety. Filsaime took action and developed action plans by studying financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; and recommending objectives to the owner. He found that by focusing on the recruiting, training and coaching of General Managers he could achieve results that exceeded his company’s goals. His vision for building a quality customer experience was born here and has been the heartbeat of the Filsaime Flavors vision.
Prior to moving to Colorado, Filsaime studied at Strayer University (Charlotte, NC) pursuing his bachelor's in business administration concentrating in Human Resources. During this time, he supported himself by becoming an Assistant General Manager of Fulenwider Enterprises, a franchisee of YUM! Brands. This position gave him his first glimpse of leadership, a focused passion for the rest of his life.
Rick Esterline served as the Chief Marketing Officer and has previously served as the Chief Marketing Officer for the Quintess Collection a luxury vacation club for millionaires and billionaires. Prior to Quintess, Rick was the Chief Technology Officer for Sports Thread, a social media company for college athletes. Rick was also the Chief Marketing Officer for CloudWrangler, a cloud services distributor. Rick's function was to oversee the team that produces sales materials, as well as managing the marketing campaigns. He also managed the Technical Support functions.
Rick has three decades of Marketing experience. Prior to joining CloudWrangler he was the principle at Esterline Consulting which provided strategic and tactical marketing plans to numerous startups and small businesses in a variety of fields. He was also the Vice President of Marketing and co-founder for Peak8 Solutions.
Prior to Peak8 Solutions Rick was the founder and president of Boulder Technology Partners which provided information security services and managed services to small and medium business in Colorado.
Rick began his marketing career at Sun Microsystems where he built their entire Worldwide services portfolio which generated $3.5 billion in annual sales with 45% gross margin on ASP.
Prior to Sun Microsystems Rick held technical positions at Measurex (a process control company) and Diasonics (a medical Imaging company). At Diasonics Rick was part of the team that brought the first MRI systems from R&D through FDA approval and into the Market. Rick had 40 direct reports during this time.
Rick joined the U.S. Navy upon graduating from the University of Arizona and served 6 years in secure communications and intelligence.
Rick's undergraduate studies were at the University of Arizona where he had two majors (Biology and Chemistry). His graduate studies were in Psychology at Western Seminary.
Rick has served on the board of two non-profits including the role of Chairman. His leadership skills have been in clear evidence his entire career. He is a servant leader by nature, but is adaptable to the culture of whatever organization he is working in.
Jerry Day served as the Chief Financial Officer and has focused his strengths on Strategic planning, cash flow planning and management. Converting an entrepreneur’s business model into number helps the entrepreneur identify the risks of the business model, how the company will grow, and the KPI’s for managing the business are easily identified. An example would be a Kidrobot’s plan was to grow from $17MM to $50MM. The plan identified all of the growth drivers and the performance indicators to measure and monitor progress.
Cash flow planning and management is not normally an area of expertise for many businesses. Examples would be Enterprise Management Associates would experience shortfall sometime in the future and with proper planning was able to get the lines of credit needed. The American Red Cross was able to start an emergency fund raising effort after identifying their shortfall for one of their chapters.
Jerry is also skilled at cost reductions. At Serck Services, Inc., he has reduced $1.2MM annually by space consolidation and closing unprofitable product lines. Identified staffing and job redundancies that reduced workforce by 30%.
Jerry’s career began in public accounting (KPMG) and he has held leadership roles with subsidiaries of international conglomerates and middle market companies. He has a diverse experience including the creation of Tecta America, Inc., a $380MM company through a merger and acquisition strategy.
Jerry earned his Master of Business Administration in management at Golden Gate University in San Francisco, CA. Prior to that he earned his Bachelor of Science concentrating in Accounting at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI. Jerry is a Certified Public Accountant and is a Certified Hedge Fund Professional, Level 1 – Hedge Fund Group.
Edward Perrier served as the first Chief Information Officer for Perseverance Endeavors and its dynasty. He was born in Boston Massachusetts and was taught early on that with hard work and perseverance you can accomplish anything. Edward Perrier brings over 20 years of Technology experience and has been described as being very technical and driven in all aspects of life with a strong faith.
